But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19)
This verse is talking about those who partnered with Paul in his ministry by giving money. Read verses 14-18 and see what it says.
v.14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
“Communicate” in this verse is the Greek word sugkoinoneo which means “sharing material things with someone in need.” Paul needed money for his ministry and they supplied his need. God supplies needs for those who partner with a ministry or a church. God wants us to continue to give. If you are not a partner with a ministry or church, then please pray about it. God wants you to have an abundant life (John 10:10). If you want to lay up treasure in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21) then be a giver.
v.15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
“Communicated” in this verse is the Greek word koinoneo which means “to share resources with others.”
v.16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
v.17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
v.18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
“Sacrifice” in this verse is the Greek word thusia which means “of service, obedience, praise offered to God, an offering, an oblation”.
