Power of the Tongue

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21)

Don’t speak a bad word about anybody, including yourself. When you do, you are giving the devil license to fight you more. I know that as we serve the Lord we will be in spiritual warfare. But we don’t have to invite the devil to come to our dinner table. That seat is reserved for Jesus (read Revelation 3:20). I can’t get over all of the sin that is related to our tongue: (just to name a few) lying, gossip, backbiting, slander, strife, cursing, filthy communication, complaining, etc.

Speak blessings over yourself and those you love each day. Claim victory in the name of Jesus! Do this with anything and everything in your life. Speak over your time reading or studying the Bible that God will open your understanding. Pray about who you will be spending time with each day. Be persistent in speaking words of life over every part of your life DAILY and watch how God will transform your life! Life shouldn’t be a constant struggle and God never intended for it to be that way. Speak words of faith and the Word of God each day.
