v.6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
v.7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
v.8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Out of all the things that are mentioned here. The only gift of the Spirit is prophecy. There is a difference between gifts of the Spirit and ministry gifts. When people discuss these “gifts” they are NOT spiritual gifts as in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10.
And He gave some, apostles, and some, prophets, and some, evangelists, and some, pastors and teachers. (Ephesians 4:11)
These are NOT spiritual gifts either. They are ministry gifts! Those who are in the ministry can have gifts of the Spirit but many denominations do not believe in the gifts of the Spirit and lack the power and fulness of what the Holy Spirit can do in their ministry.
